Your Dental Home

General & Family Dentistry

General dentistry is the foundation of lifelong oral health. We provide preventive and restorative care for every age in one trusted dental home.

Why Choose Rahill Dental for Your Family?

Keeping your family with one dental team improves consistency and convenience. From first visits to adult care, we track your history and adjust treatment as needs change. Your care team is led by Dr. Ali Rahill, DDS and includes Dr. Jeffrey Hermen, DDS, a longtime Oklahoma City dentist whose patients can continue care with our practice.

If urgent pain appears between checkups, we can often see you quickly through our emergency dentistry service in Oklahoma City, and infected teeth may be saved with root canal therapy when treated early.

Beyond routine care, many of our patients also explore cosmetic dentistry options like veneers and bonding, or professional teeth whitening to refresh their smile between visits.

Treatment Options

Comprehensive Care for Every Smile

We offer a full range of general dentistry services to maintain and restore your oral health.

Preventive Care

Regular exams and professional cleanings are the foundation of a healthy smile. Our thorough exams include digital X-rays, oral cancer screenings, and gum health assessments. Professional cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup that brushing and flossing alone can't reach.

Restorative Dentistry

When teeth need repair, we offer tooth-colored fillings, porcelain crowns, inlays, onlays, and bridges to restore function and appearance. Our restorative work uses durable, natural-looking materials that blend with your existing teeth and protect your bite. If teeth are missing, we may discuss dental implants or custom denture options as part of your long-term plan.

Emergency Dental Care

Toothaches, broken teeth, and dental injuries don't wait for convenient moments. We offer prompt emergency dental care for our patients. If you're experiencing a dental emergency, call us right away — we'll work to see you as quickly as possible and get you out of pain.

Restorative Care

Repair Small Problems Before They Become Bigger Ones

Many dental visits are not dramatic. A filling, crown, bridge, or bite adjustment can often protect a tooth before pain, cracking, or infection creates an emergency.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Composite fillings repair cavities and small fractures while matching the natural shade of your tooth. We remove damaged tooth structure conservatively and rebuild the area so it feels smooth, sealed, and comfortable to chew on.

Dental Crowns

A crown may be recommended when a tooth is cracked, heavily filled, worn down, or treated with root canal therapy. The goal is to cover and protect the remaining tooth structure so it can handle everyday bite forces more predictably.

Dental Bridges

For some patients missing one or more teeth, a bridge can restore chewing function and keep nearby teeth from drifting. We compare bridges with implants and removable options so the recommendation fits your health, timeline, and budget.

Common Questions

General & Family Dentistry FAQ

How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend dental exams and professional cleanings every six months for most patients. Some patients with gum disease or other risk factors may benefit from more frequent visits. We'll recommend a schedule tailored to your individual needs.

What age should my child first visit the dentist?

The American Dental Association recommends a child's first dental visit by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth erupting. Early visits help establish comfort with the dental office and allow us to monitor development.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes, we accept several dental insurance plans including Delta Premier and Delta PPO Plus Premier, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma and Federal BCBS FEP Blue Dental, and HealthChoice. Our team will help verify your benefits and maximize your coverage.

What should I do if I have a dental emergency?

Call our office right away at (405) 621-2100. If it's after hours, our voicemail will provide guidance. For severe bleeding, jaw injuries, or difficulty breathing, go to the nearest emergency room. We'll follow up as quickly as possible.

How can I improve my oral health at home?

Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste for two minutes each time, floss daily, and limit sugary snacks and acidic drinks. Using a mouthwash and replacing your toothbrush every 3–4 months also help maintain your oral health between dental visits.
